Under normal processing conditions, the most significant parameter affecting the lifespan of CNC engraving machine tools is the spindle speed. Under the same conditions, a lower spindle rotation speed results in a longer tool life. To extend tool life, a lower spindle speed can be set. However, the spindle motor speed cannot be reduced indefinitely. When the spindle motor speed is too low, the cutting force increases at the same feed rate, making it difficult for the tool to withstand the load. Therefore, there is a reasonable range for spindle speed when machining certain materials.

The following is a table showing the processing speed and spindle speed ratios for various materials processed by CNC engraving machines: Specific situations require specific analysis; this is for general material reference only.
